Surveys We can produce the following types of surveys: These are very detailed reports and are usually prepared for purchasers prior to exchange of contracts. More information can be found in our Terms & Conditions for Reports. In some situations however they can also be prepared for owners in residence who wish to set up a programme of refurbishment work. Market valuations together with reinstatement costs for insurance purposes can also be incorporated into these reports. Below are two building surveys prepared by AEJP Surveyors: These are sometimes known as intermediate surveys and do not go into as much detail as Building Surveys. Again, it is a report commissioned independently following an agreed sale prior to exchange of contracts. Market and insurance valuations are included in these reports. These are based on a building survey but do not go into as much detail. Prospective purchasers will commission these before actually making an offer or if a property is going to sealed bids. The purchaser may be aware of defects or knows the property needs modernising/renovating wish to know how this can be reflected in the price. The report can also be used to illustrate the work required and a budget price guide. These reports can then be turned into full building surveys, if required, once the purchaser has been successful.
